Now it is time to think about your hometown. What is special about where you live? On your blog, describe your hometown. Be sure to include lots of describing words (adjectives) in your post.
My hometown is special for the water view tunnel it is the longest tunnel in New Zealand. Me and my cousin Lahsinee were trying to hold our breath we tried to but the tunnel was to long we nearly suffocated but then decided to stop before it gets out of hand. The new tunnel is good for short cuts so we don't need to waste our time in traffic. Thanks for reading bye:)
Hello Danielle,
ReplyDeleteI really like your description for your hometown in NZ, and I really like the story you put in with it was well.
Holding your breath sounds like a fun activity, but the thing that surprised me was that before the tunnel ended, you had to stop. I can't believe the tunnel was that long! Your hometown sure seems fun.
What is your favourite country? Keep up the great work!

DeleteKia Orana Danielle,
ReplyDeleteYou have talked about what you find special about your hometown Auckland. The Waterview tunnels are indeed the longest road tunnels in Aotearoa, ka pai. Perhaps next time you could include how long each of the Waterview tunnels are. Do you know which road tunnel held the record before?
Like you, I have tried to hold my breath when travelling through them, it really was impossible. I'm so glad we have the tunnels, now it's so easy and fast to get to where I need to go. I visit Grey Lynn a lot and it literally only takes 5 minutes to get there in light traffic, through the tunnels, hooray for that!
Keep up the good work.
Toe feiloa'i fo'i,
