Day 1 Forest life!!
Hey guys today I am going to be telling you if I would like to go to Tane Mahuta and if you guys would like to tell me if you would like to go there comment down below. I would like to go there to see the awesome tree. But there is this disease going around called Kari Die back. It spreads when you stand on apart of one tree or dirt then just walk to the next tree. This is how you can stop it wash your shoes and ya what will happen is the trees will start to rot that is why I will go there and make sure to wash my shoes thank you for reading bye!!

Kia Orana Danielle,
ReplyDeleteCia here from the Summer Learning Journey Ako Hiko team.
You have given a clear view point and reason why you would want to visit Tāne Mahuta. I like that you included some information about Kauri Dieback which threatens our Kauri trees as well as some preventative measures we could take to keep them safe as visitors.
Do you know what is in the dirt that causes Kauri Dieback? Perhaps next time you could add a little information about this to your post.
One day I too would like to visit Tāne Mahuta so I can see the mighty tree up close. They grow to be so tall and magnificent I’d love to see it in person as a picture wouldn’t do them justice.
Keep up the good work Danielle, I look forward to reading more of your posts over the summer :)
Toe feiloa’i fo’i (see you again),
Cia.
